HRC Summer Studentships
Māori students from Aotearoa New Zealand who are keen to build their research skills in the area of Māori sexual and reproductive health promotion OR Māori health and wellbeing can apply to the Health Research Council Summer Studentship programme for funding.
Te Whāriki Takapou is able to offer support for students to develop Māori sexual and reproductive health-related applications for Summer Studentships. Further, students who are awarded a Studentship will be supported by Te Whāriki Takapou researchers and health promoters to develop Kaupapa Māori research and report writing skills that contribute to Māori-determined community development and transformation.
Interested applicants can contact Dr Jillian Tipene, Te Whariki Takapou, to discuss potential topics.
Registrations for the 2020 Māori health research summer studentship open on 24 May 2019, and full applications are due on 5 July 2019 (electronic) and 10 July 2019 (hardcopy). For details, go to https://gateway.hrc.govt.nz/funding/maori-health-research/2020-maori-health-research-summer-studentships
